Black Mags is a 2D/ 3D short motion graphics product spot for the fictitious Nike Mags sneakers featured in the cult classic movie, “Back to the Future II.” The spot focuses on a lone protagonist character and depicts the endless possibilities that these shoes open up for the wearer. From winning the marathon, to defeating space age monsters and robots, anything is possible when you're wearing a pair of Nike Mags.

Black Mags is my Parsons Undergrad thesis film. From the drawing boards, to the final renderings, the film took a little over a year to make. Modeling, lighting, and animation done in Maya, Mudbox, and Vray. Post Production work and compositing done in Adobe Flash, and Adobe After Effects.
